Tonfa

Also known as the Tong Fa, made of hardwood, the Tonfa is still used in certain countries by police and security forces.

The tonfa is an effective weapon over close to medium range combat, giving you a wide range of blocks and strikes as well as a variety of techniques regarding the handling of the weapon.

Tonfa are traditionally wielded in pairs, with the handle being grasped so as to protect the warriors forarms and hands with the shaft. In attack, tonfa can be swung out as a strike or twirling the tonfa for greater momentum.

The Tonfa can also be held by the shaft, weilded as hammers.
